What does it mean to be a LoanFinder client?
It means that you've qualified for our 4-in-1 Plan: a 24 hour Legal and ID Assist service, quarterly comprehensive credit reports, financial counseling programme and free loan-finding service.
What are LoanFinder’s criteria?
We are able to assist you if you:
- are older than 18 years of age;
- are a South African citizen;
- have a steady, monthly income of at least R1 500 per month; and
- have a South African bank account.
Unfortunately, we're unable to assist you if you:
- are under debt review;
- have filed for bankruptcy;
- are under any debt restructuring programmes;
- have declared yourself insolvent; and/or
- are under administration.
Is my information safe?
How long until I know the outcome of my loan application?
When we receive the outcome of your loan application, we'll let you know immediately via sms.
Will you run a credit check on me?
No, at LoanFinder we don't run any credit checks on our applicants. Some moneylenders/brokers might do checks.
How long until I have to repay the loan?
Your loan repayment depends on the terms and conditions you negotiated with the moneylender. Generally, personal loans have a repayment period of between 12 and 72 months, but this depends on what you qualify for and can afford to repay.
How do I cancel my LoanFinder service?
We have a five-day, cooling-off period in which you're welcome to cancel our service if you wish to do so. If you do, however, change your mind, it's easy to reactivate your account with us by simply contacting our call centre on 021-815-4600.
Why has LoanFinder debited money from my bank account?
At LoanFinder we offer a 4-in-1 Plan. You get access to our free loan-finding service immediately, our 24-hour Legal and ID Assist service upon completion of your application, quarterly comprehensive credit reports and a financial counselling programme for an affordable fee. The money we have deducted from your account is the once-off initiation fee of R395 for our 4-in-1 plan. LoanFinder will only debit your account if you have expressly given us permission to do so. If, for some reason, you feel that this money was taken from you in error, or you suspect fraudulent activity with your personal details, please contact us.
